One third of this site is about where meditation meets philosophy. I set the scene with brief explanations of why I meditate and what I mean here by philosophy, I mention some people who have influenced me in my meditation, and there are a number of my writings, which I have divided into the most recent and earlier.

*Latest: Meditation using the language of Gene Gendlin

Another third of this web site is given over to my thoughts and feelings about Maharaji (aka Guru Maharaji, aka Prem Rawat) - an Indian guru to whom I gave my life for 30 years. After a brief introduction, I have some articles I have written about him, and an open letter I wrote to him. I also have a Bio or Resume giving the chronology of my 30 years with him and his organisation (Divine Light Mission, aka Elan Vital), and a page of photos of myself with Maharaji in the early days.

*Latest: Maharaji's Divinity Claims: Spurious Academic Denials and Wikipedia

*Latest: The Impossible Triangle

The rest of this site is a miscellany of topics which interest me, including eating and exercise and my writing of haiku (other interests will appear over time). Also some actual personal history: my bio/resume/CV, my academic career as a mathematical and theoretical physicist, my current career as software creator and the company I work for.

More recent additions are: My Life In Music - a 4amzen radio interview, and an essay on British and American Spelling

Finally some details about how to contact me, and to use anything you find on this site. The frame on the left is an overview of the site. Thank you for visiting, and I wish you well.

In the first full year that this site was public - Nov 7 2003 to Nov 7 2004 - it had 721,521 successful page reads.
